The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA)
You can get 2015 coverage if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period or are applying for Medicaid or CHIP.
For coverage starting in 2015, the proposed Open Enrollment Period is November 1, 2015–January 31, 2016.
Over the past years, FACHC and its member Federally Qualified Health Centers around the state have worked closely with the leadership of Florida to improve our ability to serve more patients. With recent Affordable Care Act funding, we have expanded services through increased site locations, and apply funding for more center hours of operation and Emergency Room diversion projects.
We look forward to continuing to work in partnership with our state and national leaders, and with the momentum of the Affordable Care Act, we will be able to expand access to cost‐effective and affordable health care to more patients in Florida communities that need services.
