SERCN network gives health centers an opportunity to participate in asthma study that targets African-Americans The SERCN network has been asked to recruit sites that are willing to participate in the BELT study (Blacks and Exacerbations on LABA vs Tiotropium) with the AAFP National Research Network. Training for all interested sites is on or around December 2 – 5. Study implementation will begin immediately following training. Each center will have to enroll 100 Black American adults with asthma and follow these patients for 52 weeks. Both patients and centers will be compensated for their involvement. Additional details about the benefits are included in the attached letter of invitation. If your center would like to be considered as a study site, please contact Kendra Williams Pierson via email at kpierson@msm.edu or phone 404-752-1741 no later than October 8.
