The RCHN Community Health Foundation Community Health Foundation Health Center Entry-Level Workforce Recruitment and Retention Models RCHN will support proposals related to the development and implementation of programs focused on recruitment, training and retention of entry level staff. RCHN CHF is interested in funding proposals that develop recruitment and retention initiatives across the full spectrum of entry-level workforce positions including administrative (such as front-desk, clerical or medical records positions), clinical (such as medical assistants), and allied health workers (such as case managers and community health workers).

Florida Ounce of Prevention Fund Seeks innovative, comprehensive, community-based, family-focused and culturally relevant programs that promote healthy child development, educational achievement and successful life outcomes by building on individual, family and community strengths. One or more of the following broad outcomes must be achieved by the program:Prevent unwanted/unplanned pregnancies and reduce teen pregnancy;
Reduce substance abuse (alcohol, tobacco and other drugs) among pregnant and parenting women and adolescents; Improve maternal, child and adolescent health; Improve family functioning, stability and economic self-sufficiency; Promote responsible fatherhood; Improve child development; Reduce barriers to adequate school.
Award Amount: $15,000 - $300,000
Deadline: Concept Paper Due by December 31st, 2011
Eligibility: Private, not-for-profit agencies, organizations or community groups in Florida that are incorporated and have 501(c)(3) status as designated by the IRS; Private, not-for-profit agencies, organizations or community groups in Florida that have as a partner and fiscal agent an agency or organization that is incorporated and has 501(c)(3) status as designated by the IRS; Public agencies or organizations, including units of local government and a combination of general local governments.
