Farmworker Identification and Verification Training
A Workshop for Intake Staff
In this 60-90 minute training, intake staff learn how to accurately identify and document migrant and seasonal farmworkers as defined by HRSA.
At the end of the workshop participants will be able to:
- State the importance of accurately documenting farmworkers served in community health centers
- Identify agricultural categories within HRSA’s definition of farmworkers
- Distinguish between migrant and seasonal farmworkers
- Identify effective, culturally sensitive strategies for verifying farmworker status during the intake process
Case studies highlight nuances in migrant and seasonal farmworker definitions.
