*NEW* COVID-19 UPDATES AND CAN BE VIEWED HERE.

Our nation is in a state of emergency and Florida’s Community Health Centers (CHCs) are on the front lines implementing preventive and protective practices to mitigate the spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our centers remain open throughout the state of Florida.

While the impacts of the pandemic are far-reaching with personal protective equipment (PPE) and testing kits in short supply, our centers continue to step up in time of public health crisis for the families who live in Florida. Staff are working tirelessly to ensure that patients across the state receive care amid the COVID-19 pandemic and are key to stopping our hospital systems from becoming overwhelmed.

FoundCare in Palm Beach conducted the first drive-thru COVID-19 testing site in Florida and now, Florida's CHCs are prepared to test in over 30 drive-thru sites across the State. This is how Florida's Community Health Centers lead the effort to speed delivery of needed care to vulnerable Floridians.

Foundcare’s CEO Yolette Bonnet conducted a live interview on CNN with Brianna Keilar, and Dr. Oneka Marriott was interviewed and featured on ABC News: Pandemic- What You Need to Know. We hope this video will inspire even more healthcare organizations and government officials to step up and help those who need it most in our communities.

“The mission and service of  Florida's Community Health Centers is largely defined by the health and wellness of the people we serve."

Andrew Behrman, President and CEO of the Florida Association of Community Health Centers

Florida’s Community Health Centers extend access to health care to a broad range of Floridians, including seniors, children, veterans, whether insured or not.  Centers accept ALL Medicare and Medicaid patients. Our first and only mission is to care for the patients in our centers.

If you think you may be experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, you should contact your local county health department. They will let you know where to go for testing. They can also refer you to a Community Health Center for follow-up care and/or additional services.  Additionally, Community Health Centers are providing drive-thru testing for those who meet criteria established by the CDC and the Department of Health. That list of sites can be found here.
